The exact machine you need
There are several different models in the WIFO MP range, allowing you to choose exactly the machine you need to fit in with your working methods and the planting situation. You put together the exact machine you need, based on your specific requirements. So you can specify the number of rows and include various options like fertilising and marking equipment. You will also select the row spacing to match your procedures. The available row spacings range from 75 to 90 cm. You can also adjust the machine to suit your needs while it is in operation, controlling such variables as the planting spacing and the frequency of the vibrating agitator.

The mini tuber planter uses the highly regarded Koningsplanter planting unit, which over the years has taken mini tuber propagation to a whole new level. Planting the mini tubers with precise spacing means they have just the room they need to grow, improving not only quality but also yields. The Koningsplanter helps you make the most of your mini tubers. Precise planting means you use less propagation material per hectare, saving costs.

Durable and user-friendly
The WIFO mini tuber planter ensures that the mini tubers are carefully transported and handled, with damage kept to a minimum. The precise planting contributes to optimal propagation yields and uniform end products. The mini tuber planter’s hopper is straightforward to fill. The mini tubers are transported to the planting unit via adjustable distribution flaps, with the vibrating agitator ensuring that they are planted in a single line. The row spacing can be adapted to the size of the tubers.

The easily adjusted mechanism plants the mini tubers at a constant depth and spacing, achieving precise coverage per meter. The precise planting spacing is determined by the speed of the conveyor belts, which are driven by the planting machine’s wheels. This means that the machine’s ground speed and the planting speed are always in the correct ratio, so the mini tubers are always planted at the correct spacing. The desired planting distance is set using the toothed gear and the chain wheel.


Dedicated planting unit for sorted and unsorted mini tubers
The unique Koningsplanter planting unit delivers precise, uniform planting. The mini tubers are led gently down from the end of the conveyor on a finger belt. The reverse motion of the belt ensures that the mini tubers are deposited at the correct rate, in the opposite direction to the motion of the machine. This results in the planting of the tubers with consistent spacing. The planting depth is determined by the adjustable depth wheel to the rear of the coulter. The disc coulters earth up the mini tubers and can easily be adjusted to change the shape of the ridge.
